A special thanksgiving service has been held in honour of a Supreme Court Judge, Justice Kweku Tawiah Ackaah- Boafo at his local church , Fountain of Glory Assemblies of God, Spintex in Accra.

Justice Ackaah- Boafo is one of the seven judges of the Court of Appeal recentlysworn- in by President John Dramani Mahama as Supreme Court Judges.

In a sermon, the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam admonished judges to seek the wisdom and fear of God .

They should also “possess a heart of discernment” in the faithful discharge of their duties.

Rev Wengam said owing to the critical and sensitive nature of their job, there is the need for Supreme Court judges to develop their spiritual lives so they can deliver “ true justice.”

The General Superintendent subsequently led a team of pastors to pray for Justice Ackaah- Boafo.

Justice Ackaah- Boafo is recognized for some landmark cases, including his ruling in a medical negligence case against 37 Military Hospital which was found liable for the death of a 27 year old PhD student after being delivered of a baby at the hospital.
