Kojo Boni Community Celebrates a New Dawn as Clean Water Flows for the First Time
History was made in the Northern Region last week Tuesday as the farming community of Kojo Boni officially bid farewell to decades of water scarcity.
On March 24, 2026, residents gathered in high spirits to witness the commissioning of an ultra-modern mechanized borehole, marking the first time the community has gained access to safe, reliable, and portable drinking water.
This transformative intervention was birthed through a strategic international partnership between Faith in Humanity (FiH), a Swiss-based non-governmental organization, and their local partners, Christ Love Community Church in Adenta.
Together with their sponsors, the organizations successfully implemented the project to address the dire need for sustainable water infrastructure in the Kpandai District.

The arrival of the mechanized facility is expected to serve as a cornerstone for improved public health and socio-economic development within the enclave.
During the colorful ceremony, stakeholders emphasized that access to clean water is a fundamental right that underpins the growth of any society.
Speaking at the commissioning, the President of FiH, Mr. Koloumban Baumgastner, joined by Country Director Rev. Isaac Antwi, underscored the importance of sustainability.
The leaders jointly urged the people of Kojo Boni to adopt a strict maintenance culture for the new water kiosk.
They noted that by taking ownership of the facility, the community would effectively eradicate the prevalence of water-borne diseases that have historically plagued the area.
As the taps were turned on for the first time, the milestone stood as a powerful testament to the impact of a shared vision.
For Kojo Boni, the project represents more than just a new facility; it signifies a healthier future and a significant leap toward modern development.
