Two MPs petitioned Parliament for STEM School in Upper West

Two Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Upper West Region have petitioned Parliament for the Ministry of Education to establish Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM ) school in the region to boost education.

The two MPs, Hon Anthony Sumah and Dr Sebastian Sandaarefiled the petition, citing neglect of the region innthe progrqmme.

Hon Sumah told members of the Parliamentary Press Corps, the region has a lot of cluster of schools that could be use to benefit from the STEM programme, hence the petition to the government through Parliament.
He said the neglect of the region from it’s share of the STEM school would further deny the opportunity to children in the region who have the zeal of pursuing science, technology, engineering and Mathematics.
The young MP therefore called on the government to attend to their petition and provide at least one STEM school for the region.

The STEM focused on public school from kindergarten to lower and upper primary through to senior high level.
