The Member of Parliament for Ledzorkuku, Hon Benjamin Nartey Ayiku, has urged pupil in his Constituency to be focused and not be distracted from their aspirations in life.  

He said it was important for the pupil to take their eyes off the obstacles and attempt to break new grounds so they could make their parents proud, impact society and become examples to others.

Mr Ayku was addressing pupils of Teshie Jordan Methodist Basic School when they paid an excusing tour of Parliament in Accra on Friday, March 1, 2024.

The MP used himself as an example, urged the pupil to defy all odds to get wherever they want to get, adding that, “some of you will take over from me as MP, Ministers and even President.”

He said with serious and interest in their books couple with determination and commitment to one’s passion, they could get to the high.

Hon Richard Gyan Mensah, MP for Gomoa West who was present took turn to advise the young ones to aspire for the best and not permit anything to derail them from their path to greatness.

He said the only way they could succeed and go high is to their books seriously and ensure they remained respectful to their teachers, their parents and the elderly in society.

“I’ll tell you to stay focused, don’t let anything distract you. Be confident and always prayerful. Just make up your mind to put a value on yourself by becoming an important person in future to make your parents proud and help transform society,” he added.

The120 pupil were led to Parliament by the school Headmistress, Madam Faustina Naa Lamiley and six other Teachers.
