Authentic Faith of the Biblical Fathers Build Nations- Rev Wengam
The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam has observed that adhering to the authentic faith of the Fathers of the Christian faith can effectively advance nation building. Speaking at the Watch Night Service of Cedar Mountain Chapel to usher in the new year, Rev Wengam drew lessons from the life of the Patriarch Abraham described as the Father of the Christian Faith. He called on Christians to emulate his authentic faith by believing boldly and radically while modelling godly living to defend that legacy of faith. He emphasised, that this would translate citizens into people who are patriotic and incorruptible, demonstrating positive work ethics.
This, he said, will translate into sustainable economic development for the country. He bemoaned the practise where Christians serve God for only what they would receive from God without proper teachings on holy and righteous living.
This, he said was not the kind of Christian faith bequeathed to us.
He believed that even though there will be challenging moments for Ghana in 2026, the year will bring greater prosperity and favour.

Rev Wengam announced, that all churches of Assemblies of God in Ghana shall embark on a week long fasting and prayer from Monday the 6th to Sunday the 11th of this month to intercede for the church and the nation.
In attendance was H.E David Kabre, Burkinabe Ambassador to Ghana.
