Uphold Integrity with Services- Rev Wengam urges Clerk of Parliament
The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev Stephen Yenusom Wengam has charged Christians in public service not to compromise the truth under any circumstances.
He was speaking at a thanksgiving service in honour of the Clerk of Parliament, Mr Ebenezer Dzirtror at Jehovah Shammah Assembly of God in Accra.
Present at the service was the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
Rev Wengam reminded Mr Dzietror , who is also a pastor of Assemblies of God, Ghana , that his elevation to the position of Clerk of Parliament was an act of God, and it will take divine grace and mercy for him to excel.
Rev Wengam asked Mr Dzietror to serve with absolute diligence, dedication and commitment to his mission as Clerk of Parliament, adding that he should serve in humility, fear of God and holiness.
The General Superintendent emphasized that the “Bible is the supreme , real constitution of Assemblies of God which is currently the largest Pentecostal movement in the world.”
“All our beliefs, rules and practices flow from the Bible. Assemblies of God does not teach its members to go into public service and live anyhow but follow the dictates of the Bible and the very solid doctrine of the church.”

Mr Dzietror should ,therefore , bear in mind that he is not serving as Clerk in his own name but representing Assemblies of God and Christ in Parliament.
“So you must uphold the virtues of integrity, honesty and Christlikeness, “ Rev Wengam added.
For his part, Mr Dzietror pledged to uphold his Christian beliefs, values and principles as Clerk of Parliament.
