The Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Ghana, Togo, and Benin, His Excellency Assiélou Félix Tanon, has extended a warm message of goodwill to the government and people of Ghana as the nation marks its 69th Independence Day today, March 6, 2026.

‎​In an official statement, Ambassador Tanon praised Ghana’s remarkable journey since its accession to national sovereignty.

He noted that the country has successfully transformed into a prosperous and stable nation, earning global recognition as a beacon of democracy within the West African sub-region and beyond.

Conveying the best wishes of His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, the Ambassador expressed deep pride in the enduring bonds between the two neighbors.
He highlighted the current state of Ivorian-Ghanaian relations, describing them as an excellent model of friendship, fraternity, and strategic cooperation.

Ambassador Tanon however  reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the bilateral ties that unite the two nations.

He offered his congratulations to the Ghanaian people on this historic milestone, ending with a call for the continued prosperity of both Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
