The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has reaffirmed her commitment to grassroots development by supporting the completion of a community centre project at Achichire with a significant donation of building materials.

The MP provided 300 bags of cement and 15 packets of roofing sheets to accelerate work on the facility, which is expected to serve as a focal point for social gatherings, community meetings and local development initiatives.

The items were presented on her behalf by the District Chief Executive for Amenfi Central, Peter Amponsah, together with constituency and branch executives.

Speaking during the presentation, the DCE conveyed the MP’s message of solidarity with the people of Achichire, noting that the project aligns with her broader vision of empowering communities through infrastructure and social investment.

“Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe remains committed to improving the living conditions of her people. This support is part of her promise to ensure that no community is left behind in development,” he stated.

The Achichire community centre, when completed, is expected to provide a safe and functional space for public engagement, youth activities and communal decision-making, strengthening social cohesion in the area.

Beyond infrastructure, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe has in recent months intensified a number of health-focused and social intervention programmes across the constituency.

Some of these include support for community health outreach programmes, donation of medical supplies to selected facilities, and assistance to vulnerable residents to access basic healthcare services.

The MP interventions have also extended to periodic health screening exercises and support for maternal and child health initiatives in underserved communities.

Residents say such efforts are gradually improving access to essential services while complementing government’s broader healthcare delivery system.

“Her support has touched many aspects of our lives, from education to health and now community development. We are grateful for her continued presence and commitment,” a community member remarked.

Hon. Gyan Cudjoe’s latest intervention at Achichire has been widely welcomed as a timely boost to the project, reinforcing confidence in her leadership and her sustained focus on both social welfare and long-term development in Amenfi Central.
