The newly elected executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Navrongo Central Constituency have embarked on a series of thanksgiving and courtesy visits aimed at committing their leadership to God and seeking the blessings of traditional authority following their victory in the party’s recent constituency elections.

Led by Constituency Chairman Solomon Navanse, the executives on Friday joined the Muslim community in Navrongo for special prayers to thank Allah for a peaceful and successful election and to seek divine guidance, wisdom, and protection as they begin their tenure.

The thanksgiving activities continued on Saturday, July 18, when the executives worshipped with the Catholic faithful in Navrongo to express their gratitude to God for what they described as His faithfulness throughout the election process.

Addressing the congregation, Chairman Solomon Navanse said the leadership’s decision to begin its mandate with thanksgiving reflected the central role faith played throughout their campaign.

“We started with God from day one in this election. We sought God’s blessings and divine protection, and at this point, we are here once again to glorify His name,” he said.

Following the church service, the executives, accompanied by party members, paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of Navrongo to seek his blessings and counsel as the traditional overlord of the area.

The delegation was led by former Upper East Regional Minister and former NPP parliamentary candidate for Navrongo Central, Paulina Abayage.

It also included candidates who contested in the recent constituency elections but were unsuccessful, as well as outgoing constituency executives, in a strong display of party unity and reconciliation.

The visit highlighted the new leadership’s commitment to fostering unity within the party while demonstrating respect for the area’s traditional institutions.

By seeking blessings from both religious and traditional leaders, the executives expressed optimism for a successful tenure focused on strengthening the party and serving the people of Navrongo Central.

The thanksgiving services and courtesy visit marked the beginning of what party leaders described as a leadership journey anchored on faith, humility, unity, and respect for the cultural values of the constituency.
