Residents of Teshie-Tsuibleoo Benefits MP Free Health Screening Project
As part of his social intervention policies, the Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, Benjamin Narteh Ayiku has provided residents of Teshie Tsuibleoo within Gonnor Central Electoral area with free health screening exercise to boost their health condition.
The free medical exercise was done in partnership with the Ledzokuku Municipal Health Directorate and Rees Aid.
The free health screening, according to the MP is to provide essential medical check-ups and promote community well-being.
The joint effort between the Municipal Health Directorate, the honourable MP and Rees Aid underlines their commitment to addressing the healthcare needs of the community.
The exercise was also to provide accessible healthcare services to individuals who may not otherwise have the means to access healthcare.
A team of medical professionals from the Ledzokuku Municipal Health Directorate, supported by volunteers from Rees Aid, conducted comprehensive health screenings at the Teshie Northern Cluster of Schools premises.
Residents were screened on various ailments and diseases including diabetes, tuberculosis, blood pressure, blood sugar levels, body mass index, eye screening, covid 19 vaccination, and dental examinations.
The event attracted a significant number of residents who expressed gratitude to the MP, the Municipal health Directorate and Ree Aide for the opportunity to receive essential health check-ups close to their homes.
The free health screening created an environment of positivity and awareness around preventive care, encouraging attendees to take the necessary steps towards maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
In his remarks, Hon Benjamin Narteh Ayiku expressed his satisfaction with the event’s outcome, emphasizing the importance of community-based healthcare initiatives.
He commended the Ledzokuku Municipal Health Directorate and Rees Nii Armah Quaye, founder of Rees Aid, for their dedication and urged residents to avail themselves of the screenings and seek early intervention for any form of health issues.
The MP reaffirmed his commitment to health needs of his constituents and assured more of such exercises would be replicated in other Electoral areas.
Rees Aid, a renowned organization focused on improving healthcare access, youth and community development in underserved communities, expressed gratitude for the collaboration and affirmed their commitment to enhancing public health in the Constituency.
