NDC Opens Regional Executive Race as Nominations Begin October 6

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the opening of nominations for its 2026 Regional Executive Elections, with the process scheduled to commence on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

The announcement forms part of the party’s electoral timetable earlier issued under reference NDC/HQ/25-3/103 on August 5, 2026.

In a statement signed by the Deputy General Secretary in charge of Administration, Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, the party said the opening of nominations marks a significant stage in preparations for the regional executive elections.

“This marks an important stage in the Party’s electoral process, and all members who intend to contest for the various Regional Executive positions are encouraged to take full advantage of the process within the prescribed period,” she said.

The party explained that all payments for the picking of nomination forms and filing fees must be made strictly through its online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, using Mobile Money across all networks or Visa and MasterCard.

It said bank payments and bank drafts would not be accepted under the process.

The NDC further stated that aspirants, proposers, seconders, and endorsers must all be members in good standing and must have fully settled their membership dues up to date.

Members with outstanding dues have been directed to clear their arrears through 92025# or the party’s online dues platform at ndc.org.gh/dues.

The party urged all aspirants, members and other stakeholders to conduct themselves with discipline, decorum, and respect for the democratic principles of the NDC throughout the electoral process.

“The Party counts on the full cooperation and support of all members to ensure a transparent, peaceful, orderly and successful electoral process,” Ms. Asamoah said.

The 2026 Regional Executive Elections are expected to pave the way for the selection of regional party leaders as the NDC continues preparations for the next phase of its internal organizational activities.
