The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God , Ghana, Rev Stephen Wengam has extended his apostolic visit to the North West Region of the Church.

At a meeting with serving Reverend Ministers and spouses, retired Ministers and spouses and widows of Ministers held at the Sanctuary of Wind and Fire Assemblies of God at Kanvilli-Tamale, Rev Wengam led a three- hour, non-stop prayer session of thanksgiving, intense worship, intercession,spiritual warfare , repentance and rededication amongst others.

Prayer was also offered for churches who need land to build temples and others who are yet to complete their building projects.

Rev Wengam who is also a member of the Church Health Board of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship laid hands on all participants and annointed them with oil while praying for grace and blessings for them to serve in their respective capacities.

He also officiated renewal of marriage or wedding vows for married couples.

Later, Rev Wengam preached a sermon titled “A Holy God On a Sending Mission” in which he charged pastors to pursue holiness passionately “ because it is a catalyst for massive harvest of souls.”

The National President of the Assemblies of God Ministers’ Wives Association, Lady Mrs Monica Wengam acknowledged the sacrifices made by retirees and their spouses as well as the plight of pastors’ widows. She assured them of God’s love and reward .

Mrs Wengam presented various gifts to pastors’ widows and spouses of retirees . They each received an undisclosed amount of money and a piece of cloth. Retired ministers were also given cash gifts while wives of serving pastors received a piece of cloth each. Some pastors’ widows were overwhelmed with such love extended to them and got emotional.

The Regional Superintendent, Rev Jonathan Abraham together with the former Regional Superintendent, Dr David Wumbei Akonsi , commended Rev and Mrs Wengam for their historic visit and kindness . A former Regional Superintendent, Rev Thompson Yaw Tonlaar (Rtd), also poured out prayers of blessing on Rev and Mrs Wengam after a “ glorious experience of God’s holy presence.”
