Veteran Journalist Gloria Ashinyo Appointed Technical Advisor to Minister for Government Communications
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Gloria Dzifa Ashinyo as Technical Aide to the Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, in a move aimed at strengthening government communication and public engagement.
The appointment was contained in an official letter dated October 3, 2025, in which the President indicated that Ms Ashinyo would work directly under and report to the Minister for Government Communications.
According to the letter, her responsibilities will include providing technical advice and strategic support on matters relating to government communications and information dissemination.
“She will also conduct research on communication trends, media strategies and digital platforms to help strengthen government messaging across both traditional and digital media,” portions of the appointment letter stated.

The Presidency further outlined that Ms Ashinyo would be expected to monitor and assess public feedback on government communication initiatives while making recommendations to improve clarity, engagement and public understanding of government policies and programmes.
“You are also required to liaise with government agencies, media houses, civil society, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective information flow,” the letter added.
The appointment forms part of ongoing efforts by the Mahama administration to enhance coordination, responsiveness and effectiveness in government communications.
