Golden Empire Legacy Resumes Full Operations as CEO, Joana Gyan Cudjoe Touts Growth
Ghanaian business leader and Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has announced the full resumption of operations at Golden Empire Legacy Limited (GELL), following the successful rollout of the company’s self-financed aggregator alliance system.
The announcement marks a significant milestone for the gold exporting firm, which now operates independently of external financing, a move the company says will enhance efficiency and accelerate growth in Ghana’s gold trading sector.
“We are thrilled to announce that Golden Empire Legacy Limited’s self-financed aggregator alliances are now fully operational and actively driving our gold trading and sales forward,” she said. “This milestone reflects our dedication, innovation, and the collective strength of our entire team.”
According to her, the transition to a self-financing model positions the company to operate seamlessly while strengthening its competitiveness in both local and international markets. “With this development, we can now operate without relying on external funding, paving the way for even greater successes,” she added.

Golden Empire Legacy Limited, widely regarded as one of Ghana’s leading licensed gold exporting firms, has played a prominent role in shaping the country’s responsible mining and gold trade landscape. Since 2019, under the leadership of Mrs. Cudjoe, the company has reportedly attracted over $400 million in investments and created thousands of jobs across mining communities.
Beyond her corporate leadership, Mrs. Cudjoe has built a reputation as a transformative figure in Ghana’s extractive industry, championing sustainable and ethical mining practices aligned with global standards. Her work integrates mining, refining, logistics, and financial innovation, while contributing to inclusive economic growth.
As the first woman elected to represent Amenfi Central in Parliament, she made history with a record-breaking electoral victory. In Parliament, she serves on the Food, Agriculture and Cocoa Affairs Committee, where she contributes to national discussions on food security, agribusiness, and Ghana’s cocoa sector.

Her influence extends into philanthropy through the Joana Gyan Foundation, which supports education, healthcare, and community development initiatives, particularly in underserved mining areas.
Reflecting on the company’s latest achievement, Mrs. Cudjoe expressed optimism about the future. “We are excited for the journey ahead and look forward to achieving even greater heights together,” she said, extending appreciation to the company’s partners, financial institutions, and stakeholders.
With her dual role as a legislator and business executive, Joana Gyan Cudjoe continues to position herself as a key figure at the intersection of governance, enterprise, and sustainable development in Ghana and beyond.
