The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ledzokuku Constituency, Hon. Benjamin Ayiku Nartey, in collaboration with the Ledzokuku Municipal Assembly, has thrown his support behind the just-ended Inter-Schools’ Games Competition in the Greater Accra Region.

The initiative aims to promote education, training, and sports development among young people within the Ledzokuku Municipality.

Support for All Circuits All four educational circuits—Ledzokuku North, South, Central, and West—benefited from the gesture, each receiving undisclosed financial support to aid their participation in the event.

The games featured a variety of sporting disciplines, including under-13 soccer (boys), netball (girls), under-15 soccer (boys and girls), volleyball (boys and girls), and handball (boys and girls).

Zonal Games Ahead Winners from each circuit will advance to the municipal finals scheduled for 5th November 2025 at the Macdan Astro Turf in Tsuibleo. Victors from that stage will represent the municipality at the Zone Six Zonal Competition on 7th November 2025.

The Municipal Assembly has also rented the Macdan Astro Turf, provided New jerseys, bottled water, and other logistical support to the participating teams.

Investing in Future Talent Speaking on behalf of Hon. Ayiku Nartey during the presentation ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Israel Adjetey Otchwenmah, emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to nurturing young talent.

He assured that greater support would be provided in next year’s edition to further enhance talent identification and development within the municipality.

“When we invest in our youth, we are investing in the future of our community and nation,” Hon. Otchwenmah stated. He also urged young people to avoid social vices and stay focused on achieving their dreams.

The School Improvement and Support Officers (SISOs) for each circuit received the funds on behalf of their respective schools.
