River Parks Commends Ghana’s Foreign Minister for Championing Interests of Ghanaians Abroad
River Parks, a leading player in Nigeria’s real estate sector, has lauded Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, for his exceptional dedication to the welfare of Ghanaians living and doing business abroad.
During a recent visit to the sprawling River Parks estate in Abuja, the Minister was presented with a special plaque and a symbolic key to the estate in recognition of his active role in supporting Ghanaian businesses in the diaspora.
Kojo Ansah Mensah, CEO of River Parks, praised the Minister’s proactive approach. “The Minister has demonstrated keen interest in the progress of Ghanaians abroad.
His team frequently engages with us to understand our challenges, and he has played a pivotal role in facilitating our dealings with the Nigerian government,” he noted.
Jona Capital and Mobus Developers—both Ghanaian-owned entities—are the developers behind River Parks. Together, they have invested over $250 million into Nigeria’s real estate sector.

According to the companies, the Minister’s continued engagement with Ghanaian missions abroad and directive for mission heads to prioritize the needs of Ghanaian businesses has significantly bolstered their efforts.
The Abuja estate, developed over 501 hectares, includes modern amenities such as hospitals, a university, recreational facilities, and residential parks. The Minister expressed admiration for the achievement, noting that the development stands as a testament to Ghanaian excellence abroad.
Mr. Ablakwa commended the developers for their success and encouraged them to continue uplifting Ghana’s image through excellence and innovation. He also urged all Ghanaians living abroad to engage closely with the country’s diplomatic missions.
“We must take full advantage of emerging opportunities in the countries where we reside. Working together with our missions, we can better represent Ghana and deepen intra-African trade to transform the continent,” he said.
