Chiana-Paga MP Donates GH¢100,000 to Complete Kandiga-Bembisi School Project
In a transformative boost to local education, the Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga, Hon. Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has donated a cheque of GH¢100,000 toward the completion of the Kandiga-Bembisi Primary School.
The substantial contribution seeks to finalize a self-initiated community project that has been under construction for three years but faced persistent delays due to a lack of funding.
The donation was the highlight of a vibrant homecoming event organized by the community to mobilize resources for the three-unit classroom block.

Addressing the gathering of chiefs, stakeholders, and residents, Hon. Alamzy expressed a firm desire to see the project reach the finish line without further delay.
”We cannot continue to gather here every year over one particular project,” the MP stated during the presentation.
“I am ending it here with a cheque amount of one hundred thousand Ghana cedis to support the completion of the school.”
He emphasized that providing a quality learning environment is non-negotiable, as education remains the bedrock of sustainable development for the youth of Kandiga-Bembisi.
The Chief of Kandiga, Naba Henry Abawine Amega-Etego, received the donation with profound gratitude, describing the MP’s intervention as timely and decisive.
The traditional leader noted that the completion of the school block would not only enhance the academic prospects of local children but also serve as a catalyst for the socio-economic growth of the entire area.
The event was attended by high-profile officials, including the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kassena Nankana West, Hon. Stephen Aeke Akurugo, as well as constituency party executives and dedicated community members.
The collaborative atmosphere underscored a shared vision between the local leadership and the government to prioritize grassroots infrastructure.
With the financial gap now bridged by Hon. Alamzy’s 100,000-cedi contribution, the people of Kandiga-Bembisi look forward to a swift conclusion to the construction work, marking a significant milestone in their journey toward educational self-sufficiency.
