NDC Government Will Not Renege on Its Development Promises — Alamzy Assures Constituents
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Chiana-Paga, Hon. Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has reaffirmed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government’s unwavering commitment to infrastructure and social development, asserting that the party remains dedicated to fulfilling every promise made to the electorate in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at a high-profile homecoming and fundraising ceremony in Kandiga, the MP emphasized that the government is focused on transforming lives through sustainable projects despite the limited time it has spent in office.
The event, which brought together traditional leaders and residents to raise funds for the completion of a three-unit classroom block at Bembisi, saw Hon. Alamzy made a monumental personal contribution of GH¢100,000.
This donation covers approximately 98% of the GH¢102,180 required to complete the Amenga-Etego Primary School, effectively ensuring that the project moves from a standstill to completion.

Addressing the constituents, Hon Alamzy called for continued public trust, stating, “The NDC government requires time to address inherited challenges, but we will not renege on our promises to the people.”
The young lawmaker detailed a track record of educational support within his first year and a half, citing the renovation of Kandiga Primary School and the successful completion of the Akamo and Agandaa Primary Schools.
He also used the occasion to reaffirm his pledge to facilitate the construction of a technical school in Kandiga, a project high on the priority list of the local traditional council.
He noted that these interventions are part of a broader strategy to ensure no child in the constituency is left behind due to poor infrastructure.

Echoing the MP’s sentiments, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Stephen Aeke Akurugo, urged the community to remain steadfast with the current administration.
He highlighted several upcoming milestones, including the recently awarded contract for the Kandiga-Sirigu road and the planned desilting of the Kandiga dam to boost local agriculture.
The DCE, who donated GH¢3,000 on behalf of the District Assembly, further revealed plans for the construction of modern toilet facilities across the district to improve sanitation and public health.
The Chief of Kandiga, His Royal Naba Amenga-Etigo expressed deep appreciation for the rapid response from both the MP and the DCE, noting that the substantial financial support would relieve the community of a heavy burden.
He encouraged his people to support the government’s initiatives, particularly the upcoming road improvement works under the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP).
In a gesture of communal bond, the organizing committee presented the two officials with customized apparel, marking a day of celebrated partnership between the government and the people of Kandiga.
