Mount Carmel Methodist Men’s Fellowship Launches 10th Anniversary with Free Health Outreach
The Men’s Fellowship of Mount Carmel Methodist Church has officially launched its 10th anniversary celebrations with a free community health screening that benefited hundreds of residents and church members.
The outreach screening exercise was conducted on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the church premises and provided free eye examinations, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, as well as a voluntary blood donation exercise.
The initiative formed part of the Fellowship’s commitment to promoting healthy living while giving back to the community it has served over the past decade.
The health screening marks the beginning of a year-long programme of activities commemorating the Fellowship’s 10 years of service, fellowship, and Christian witness.
The anniversary is being celebrated under the theme: “Walking in the Word, Equipped for Every Good Work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
Speaking during the event, the immediate past Chairman of the Fellowship and Chairman of the 10th Anniversary Planning Committee, Mr. Sarfo, said the decision to begin the celebrations with a health outreach reflected the Fellowship’s belief that ministry extends beyond the church walls.
“We are celebrating 10 years of brotherhood, faith and impact. As we mark this milestone, we wanted to give back to the community that has supported us over the years. This health screening is our way of demonstrating Christ’s love through practical service while promoting healthy living among our people,” he said.
He noted that the anniversary celebrations would not only reflect on the Fellowship’s achievements over the past decade but also inspire members to deepen their commitment to evangelism, service, and community development.

According to the organisers, the outreach attracted an impressive turnout, with hundreds of residents from Okatabanman and surrounding communities taking advantage of the free medical services.
Church leaders commended the medical professionals, volunteers, and donors whose support ensured the successful organisation of the exercise.
The organisers disclosed that the health screening is only the first in a series of anniversary activities scheduled throughout the year.
The celebrations will conclude in November 2026 with a grand thanksgiving service and awards ceremony to honour individuals who have contributed significantly to the growth and success of the Men’s Fellowship over the past 10 years.
The anniversary programme is expected to feature evangelism, community service projects, fellowship activities, and spiritual development initiatives aimed at strengthening the bond among members while extending the church’s impact within the community.
