Exercise Patience, No One Will Be Left Out—Amenfi Central MP Appeals to NDC Grassroots
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Amenfi Central, Honourable Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has issued a passionate appeal to her constituents to eliminate internal bickering, victimisation, and backbiting.
Instead, she urged party members to forge a united front to assist leadership in driving the comprehensive development of the area.
Speaking in a telephone interview with EXPRESSNEWSGHANA from Accra on Sunday June 14, 2026, Hon. Cudjoe addressed pressing developmental concerns within the constituency, emphasizing that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) remains the ultimate political vehicle committed to the progress of the enclave.
Rising Grassroots Frustrations Over Employment
The MP’s remarks come on the heels of mounting internal friction among the youth within the constituency.
Following the party’s success in reclaiming power in the 2024 general elections, anxiety for job placement has been brewing at the grassroots level.
Many party faithful and local youth are growing increasingly anxious over perceived delays in securing meaningful employment opportunities and strategic job placements.

According to reports from the constituency, this impatience has triggered internal rankling, with some factions feeling sidelined as they wait for the rewards of their political activism.
The friction threatens to undermine local party cohesion if left unchecked.
MP Pledges Swift Action and urges Calm
Acknowledging the legitimacy of the youth’s desire for financial independence and career growth, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe reassured the constituents that leadership is working tirelessly behind the scenes to secure opportunities for them.
She implored those waiting for various job placements to exercise patience, assuring them that deliberate efforts are being made to bring tangible support to the constituency.
”The NDC is the only party that truly has the development of Amenfi Central at heart. I understand the anxiety and the desire for job placements among our dedicated youth, but I plead with you to be patient. Every effort is being made to mobilize support and create sustainable opportunities for all.”
A Unified Call for Collective Development
The lawmaker called for calm, stressing that internal sabotage and petty grievances would only delay the progress the constituency desperately needs.
She firmly declared that the task of transforming Amenfi Central requires absolute focus and solidarity.
”We must eschew all forms of backbiting and victimisation. This is the time to forge ahead in unity. Let us work together and with a single purpose, because it is only through our collective strength that we can bring the needed development to our people,” she emphasized.
