Ghana’s Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, is participating in a high-level Ministerial Leadership Programme at Harvard University aimed at strengthening public sector delivery and coordination among senior government officials worldwide.

The programme, organised in collaboration with Big Win Philanthropy, brings together a select group of top public officials to focus on practical strategies for implementing national priority programmes, with an emphasis on measurable results, accountability, and cross-government coordination.

Speaking on the significance of the engagement, Mr. Debrah said the training comes at a critical time as governments face increasing pressure to deliver tangible outcomes.

“This programme offers an opportunity to learn from global best practices and refine our approach to delivering priority programmes that directly impact citizens,” he noted.

The Harvard forum features an array of distinguished resource persons, including former heads of state, senior United Nations officials, and experienced public sector leaders who share insights on building effective delivery systems.

Participation in the programme is strictly by invitation, with Mr. Debrah joining a carefully selected cohort of senior officials from across the globe. His attendance is fully sponsored by the organisers.

A senior official at the Office of the Chief of Staff underscored the importance of the initiative, stating that “Ghana’s participation reflects a deliberate effort to strengthen coordination at the centre of government and ensure that policies translate into real, measurable improvements in people’s lives.”

Mr. Debrah is expected to return to Ghana on Thursday, April 23, 2026, as the government continues to push reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency and results in public service delivery.
