Speaker Bagbin Lauds The Launching Of The SheaPark Resource Hub
The launch of the SheaPark Resource Hub of Hope marked a defining moment for the Upper West Region, representing a major milestone in its socio-economic development.
In his address, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, described the initiative as a strategic intervention aimed at revitalizing the regional economy and creating sustainable opportunities for local communities, positioning shea as a key driver of growth for the region and the nation at large.
Expressing profound gratitude to the traditional leaders and organizers for the invitation, he acknowledged the event as a historic and impactful intervention.

Reflecting on the journey, the Speaker revealed that the initiative took seventeen months of preparation, stressing that although the process was lengthy, “delay is not denial,” as the vision has now come to fruition.
According to him, the vision began in August 2024 following the conferment of the chieftaincy title Dakagli Naa by His Royal Highness Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV and the Traditional Council.
This commitment led to the development of a clear socio-economic blueprint that places Shea at the center, supported by other agricultural and livestock value chains.

Mr. Bagbin acknowledged the strong commitment of government and private sector partners, he highlighted the presence of the President as a sign of national support.
He also commended the Ghana–South Africa Business Chamber for its readiness to invest, noting that such partnerships demonstrate the project’s practical and results-driven nature.

The Speaker reaffirmed that the SheaPark Resource Hub, with its intended purpose would drive sustainable economic activity under the 24-Hour Economy framework.
He urged the people in the region, especially women and youth to actively participate, reminding all stakeholders that lasting success depends on shared responsibility and sustained effort.
