Hon James Gyakye Quayson, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration designate, has extended his heartfelt appreciation to those who supported him before and during his parliamentary vetting on Friday, July 25, 2025.

He thanked President John Dramani Mahama for the trust and honour bestowed upon him to serve in his government, expressing his commitment to serve with humility, duty, and unwavering dedication to the national interest.

“I am profoundly grateful to H.E. John Dramani Mahama for the trust and Honour bestowed upon me to
serve in his government. I accept this call to serve with humility, duty, and unwavering
dedication to the national interest.
I also wish to thank my distinguished Chiefs and Queen Mothers, party executives, my colleague MPs, my dependable family and the supportive good people of Assin North who traveled to Accra to offer their unflinching support, as well as members of the Ghanaian diaspora from across the globe who stood by me in solidarity.
To the leadership at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I wish to express my special gratitude to the Hon. Minister, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa,

Mr Quayson is appointed along Mohammed Sukparu for  Deputy Minister for Communication, Dorcas Tofey for Deputy Minister for  Transport and Prof Grace Ayensu Danquah for Deputy Minister for Health.
