Zebilla MP Breaks Ground for Strategic Development Projects Across Nine Communities
The Member of Parliament for the Zebilla Constituency, Hon. Ebenezer Alumire Ndebilla, has officially cut the sod for the construction of significant infrastructure projects across nine communities, signaling a major push to attract strategic investors and improve constituents’ living standards.
The initiative is a collaborative effort with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bawku West, Hon. James Ayamweogo, and focuses on critical areas including health, education, and sanitation.
Education and Health Relief
The groundbreaking ceremony commenced in Zabzoaga, where the MP and DCE officially handed over the site for the construction of a 3-unit Junior High School (JHS) classroom block. The community erupted in excitement, as this project addresses a four-year challenge; the previous mud structure was destroyed by a rainstorm, forcing students to learn under trees.
The team then moved to Gbantongo to break ground for a crucial 13-bed maternity block. This new facility is expected to bring immense relief to expectant and nursing mothers who currently travel to Zebilla and neighboring communities for antenatal and postnatal services.
Extensive Project Coverage
The first phase of the strategic development initiative covers several vital projects across the constituency including Construction of a 3-unit JHS block at Zabzoaga, Construction of a 13-bed maternity block, Gbantongo, Construction of a 2-unit Kindergarten block at Adonsi, 3-unit block for Timonde JHS, Timonde, Construction of a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Tonde, Googo: Construction of a CHPS compound Googo, the construction of Zebilla Central Market, Construction of an Abbatoir (Slaughterhouse), BWDA: Renovation of the District Assembly Conference Hall and Water Supply and allocation of 30 boreholes to communities in critical need of safe drinking water.

Presidential Commitment
Addressing his constituents, Hon. Ndebilla reaffirmed the commitment of the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama, to uplift the living conditions of all Ghanaians, with Zebilla as a key beneficiary.
”The President’s determination to improve the infrastructural needs of the Ghanaian people is the reason why major statutory funds such as the District Assembly Common Fund, Getfund, and the NHIL have been uncapped,” Hon. Ndebilla stated, “to ensure governance at the local level is empowered financially.”
The two honorable men urged communities yet to benefit from the infrastructure drive to remain patient, assuring them that the development projects would soon reach their llocalities
