Prez Mahama Hosts CEOs at Kwahu Business Forum to Drive Economic Transformation
President John Dramani Mahama host an exclusive gathering of Ghana’s top business leaders at a high-profile dinner tonight, marking the grand opening of the 2026 Kwahu Business Forum.
The event, held at the newly inaugurated Kwahu Convention Centre on the scenic Mpraeso Hills, serves as a strategic bridge between the presidency and the private sector to catalyze national investment.
The Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, who has been a central architect of the forum’s expansion, emphasized that the initiative is designed to harness the country’s entrepreneurial potential into a national asset.
Speaking ahead of the opening, Mr. Debrah underscored the administration’s commitment to a private-sector-led growth model.
”The development of every nation is largely anchored on the strength of its private sector,” Mr. Debrah stated.
“Business must invest boldly, innovate consistently, and scale beyond comfort to move us from an economy known for commerce into one respected for production and transformation.”
The three-day forum has attracted over 1,000 participants, ranging from seasoned industrial scouts to budding entrepreneurs.
The opening day features a comprehensive itinerary including guided tours of specialized exhibition areas where the Office of the Registrar of Companies is providing on-the-spot business registration services.
Attendees are also participating in sector-specific panel discussions and masterclasses led by successful figures from the Kwahu business enclave, aimed at sharing the “Kwahu formula” for building resilient, multi-generational enterprises.

The evening’s presidential dinner is expected to facilitate candid dialogue on monetary policy and investment hurdles in an informal setting.
Adding a touch of Ghanaian excellence to the corporate atmosphere, award-winning artistes Stonebwoy and Kwabena Kwabena will perform, highlighting the synergy between the nation’s creative arts and its broader economic agenda.
Looking ahead to the second day, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on the state of the economy, providing critical insights into inflationary trends and currency stability.
The forum will conclude with a symbolic 1,000-step health walk at the Kwahu Business Village and private consultations between high-level banking executives and the central bank to align on future economic collaborative opportunities.
